Making Meetings Work II: Leadership

Studies show that as people rise to higher positions, they spend more time in meetings. The executive will devote nearly five hours of EVERY WORKING DAY to leading and attending meetings. Executives now spend twice as much time in meetings as they did ten years ago. “Meeting overkill” is a significant contributor to job stress. But meetings can be opportunities to brainstorm, achieve consensus, and implement action in an efficient manner.
